Addison's Syndrome, also referred to as adrenal insufficiency, is a medical condition in which the adrenal glands fail to produce enough hormones. Symptoms of this condition may include nausea, fatigue, weight loss, and low blood pressure. While Addison's Syndrome is the most common name for this condition, there are several other synonyms that may be used to describe it. Some of these synonyms include primary adrenal insufficiency, hypocortisolism, and chronic adrenal insufficiency. Each of these terms refers to the same underlying condition of inadequate hormone production by the adrenal glands and is often used interchangeably by medical professionals.
