Alpha Orionis, also known as Betelgeuse, is one of the brightest stars in the night sky and is located in the constellation of Orion. Betelgeuse plays a vital role in the mythology of many cultures, and its name has been derived from the Arabic term "yad al-jawzā," which means the "hand of Orion.
