An animal with stripes can be referred to in many different ways. One well-known example is a zebra, which is sometimes described as a "horse with stripes". Another striped animal is the tiger, often called a "big cat" due to its feline appearance. The African skunk, also commonly referred to as a zorilla, is a stripe-donning mammal with a distinct scent. Other striped animals include the okapi, a giraffe-like creature found in the rainforests of central Africa, and the banded mongoose, native to parts of Africa. Additionally, fully or partially striped fish, such as the zebrafish, are commonly used in scientific research.
