Artificial immune system refers to computational models based on principles of natural immune systems and their abilities to recognize and respond to abnormal situations. However, there are alternative terms for this concept that might be more appropriate for certain contexts. For instance, computer immunology, immune-inspired computing, immunocomputing, artificial antibody system, and immune network modeling are some alternatives. These synonyms emphasize different aspects of the concept, such as the use of computational approaches, inspiration from biological immune systems, and the role of antibodies and networks in building artificial immune systems. Regardless of the terminology used, artificial immune systems are increasingly popular in solving various machine learning and security challenges.
