The Asian Tiger Mosquito is a small, black and white mosquito known for its aggressive biting habits and ability to transmit diseases such as Dengue fever, Chikungunya and Zika virus. In scientific terms, it is known as Aedes albopictus. However, this mosquito is also commonly called the forest mosquito, the invasive mosquito, or the dengue mosquito. It is referred to as the "Tiger mosquito" because of its striped appearance and aggressive nature. In some regions, it is also called the "African mosquito" or the "Asian mosquito." Regardless of its name, the Asian Tiger Mosquito continues to pose a threat to public health and safety worldwide.
