The word B.E.E. stands for Black Economic Empowerment and refers to a set of policies designed to address the inequalities that exist in South Africa's economy. There are several synonyms for B.E.E., including Economic Empowerment for Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (EEPD), Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE), and Equity and Transformation (E&T).
