Baringo giraffe is a subspecies of giraffe that resides in Kenya. It is also known by many other names such as the Ugandan giraffe, Rothschild's giraffe or simply the Baringo. These giraffes can be easily identified by their distinctive coat pattern, which consists of large, blocky patches of a darker shade of brown bordered by white lines. Due to habitat loss and hunting, the Baringo giraffe is listed as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Conserving this unique subspecies is crucial to the preservation of the entire giraffe population and the environment they live in.
