Bayleyite is a mineral that belongs to the family of phosphates, arsenates, and vanadates. It is a relatively rare mineral, and as such, there aren't many synonyms for the name itself. However, it may be referred to as "Tsumebite," as this is the location where it was first discovered - in the Tsumeb mine in Namibia. Alternatively, it may also be called "Meyerhofferite," named in honor of John Christian Meyerhoffer, a German mineralogist who made significant contributions to the study of minerals. Furthermore, it may be referred to simply as a "Phosphate mineral," as it is a compound of the phosphate family.
