Brachychiton Australis, commonly known as the broad-leaved bottle tree, is a native tree species found in Australia. It is renowned for its thick trunk and unique shape, making it an attractive addition to gardens and landscapes. Some of the synonyms for the Brachychiton Australis include the Queensland Bottle Tree, Kurrajong, and Narrow-leaved Bottle Tree. These names are derived from its origin in Queensland, its similarity to the Brachychiton Populneus (also known as the Kurrajong), and its narrow leaves respectively. In addition, the Brachychiton Australis is also referred to as the "upside-down" tree because of the upside-down shape of its bell-shaped flowers.
