Laptops are generally used for personal and business purposes. The term notebook is used to describe lighter weight, smaller laptops that are easy to carry. Ultrabooks, on the other hand, are laptops that are thin and light but powerful in processing. Additionally, netbooks are also considered as briefcase computers but they are smaller and slower than laptops. Tablet computers like iPads, Surface, and Galaxy Tab could also be considered as briefcase computers but they are not designed for typing and creating documents like other laptops.
