Calvary clover is a perennial plant that is native to Europe and Asia. It is also known as Medicago Calvaria, or simply Medick. Despite its common name, it is not related to the clover family, but to the legume family. Calvary clover has been used in traditional medicine for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. There are several synonyms for calvary clover, including little or lesser yellow trefoil, sainfoin trefoil, and black medick. Additionally, it is sometimes referred to as hop clover or nonesuch, as well as hop medic in Canada. These terms all refer to the same plant species, which can be found growing in fields, meadows, and disturbed soil.
