Centropristis philadelphica is a species of fish commonly known as the black sea bass or the rock bass. The black sea bass is a highly prized species among anglers due to their delicious taste and strong fighting ability. The black sea bass can be found along the Atlantic Coast of North America, ranging from Nova Scotia to Florida.
