This majestic creature, which can grow up to 10 feet in length, is also called the Elephant Fish, the Chishui Paddlefish, and the Jinfish. The Chinese Paddlefish is a critically endangered species, with only a handful of known survivors remaining in the world. Due to overfishing, dam construction, and pollution, this magnificent creature has been pushed to the brink of extinction. Efforts are currently underway to protect and conserve this valuable species and its habitat, but much more needs to be done to ensure its survival for future generations.
