Christ within refers to the concept that the presence of Jesus' teachings and principles are already within us. As such, there are various synonyms for Christ within that one can use in different contexts. These include the Inner Christ, the Indwelling Christ, the Divine Within, the Divine Self, the Higher Self, the Inner Light, the Christ Consciousness, and the Christos. Each of these terms signifies the same belief that all human beings are born with a divine essence and that living life according to the principles of love, compassion, and forgiveness is the path towards enlightenment and the realization of our Christ within.
