Coracobrachialis is a muscle located in the upper arm area of the human body. Synonyms for this muscle include coracobrachialis muscle and musculus coracobrachialis. It is one of the three muscles which form the anterior compartment of the arm, with the other two being the biceps brachii and brachialis muscles. The coracobrachialis muscle is responsible for the flexion and adduction of the arm at the shoulder joint. It originates from the coracoid process of the scapula and inserts into the medial side of the humerus. The coracobrachialis muscle is an important muscle for arm movement and is commonly used in weightlifting and other sports that require upper body strength.
