Cupressus Arizonica, also known as Arizona cypress, is a popular evergreen tree species native to the southwestern United States. It is commonly used for windbreaks, hedgerows, and ornamental purposes due to its drought-tolerance and beautiful blue-gray foliage. Aside from its scientific name, this tree species also has other synonyms including the Smooth-barked Arizona Cypress, Blue Arizona Cypress, and Cuyamaca cypress. The tree can grow up to 40 feet tall with a dense, pyramidal crown and aromatic wood. Its cones are small, round, and woody with scales. Arizona cypress is also known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, making it a useful plant in traditional medicine.
