Believers are those who have faith in something, often in a religious or spiritual sense. The opposite of this term would be dis-believers, who do not believe in the same thing. However, there are several antonyms that can be used to describe dis-believers, including skeptics, cynics, agnostics, atheists, and nonbelievers. Skeptics are individuals who require evidence or proof before they believe in something, while cynics display a general distrust of others' motives. Agnostics hold the belief that it is impossible to know whether something is true or not, while atheists reject the existence of a higher power altogether. Nonbelievers, on the other hand, simply do not have any particular beliefs about a given subject.
