The Douay-Rheims Bible is an English translation of the Latin Vulgate Bible, first published in the late 16th century. It is also known as the Douai Bible and the Rheims New Testament. While the Douay-Rheims Bible is a prominent Catholic translation, there are other versions available. These include the Knox Bible, the Jerusalem Bible, the New American Bible, and the Revised Standard Version-Catholic Edition. Each of these translations has its own stylistic features and may be preferred by different readers for various reasons. However, the Douay-Rheims Bible remains an important and influential version in English-language Catholicism.
