Duc d'Elchingen, also known as Michel Ney, was a French military commander during the Napoleonic Wars. Synonyms for the term Duc d'Elchingen include "Marshal Ney," "Prince of the Moskowa," and "Bravest of the Brave." Ney earned these titles for his courageous leadership on the battlefield as well as his loyalty to Napoleon Bonaparte. He fought in numerous battles, including the Battle of Borodino and the Battle of Waterloo, where he was ultimately captured by the British and executed for treason.
