Equus ferus is the scientific name for the wild horse. There are several synonyms for this majestic animal, including the American mustang, the Mongolian horse, the Przewalski's horse, the Tarpan, and the Asiatic wild horse. Although they vary in physical characteristics, all of these horses share a common ancestry and have adapted to their respective environments over time. Due to overhunting and habitat loss, many of these wild horse populations have declined significantly. Conservation efforts have been put in place to protect these iconic animals and ensure their survival for generations to come.
