The external pudendal vein is a blood vessel that is responsible for draining the blood from the external genitals and the lower parts of the pelvis. Although it is most commonly known by this name, there are several other synonyms that can be used to refer to this vein. Some of the most commonly used synonyms include the posterior labial vein, the posterior scrotal vein, and the internal pudendal vein. Additionally, there are also other terms such as the inferior epigastric vein, the peroneal vein, and the femoral vein that may be associated with or intersect with this important blood vessel.
