Eye divergence is a term used to describe the misalignment of a person's eyes. It can be caused by a number of factors, including genetics, injury, or neurological conditions. Infants and young children may also experience eye divergence as their eyes develop. There are several synonyms for eye divergence, including exotropia, divergent strabismus, and wall-eyed. Exotropia is a condition in which one or both eyes turn outward, away from the nose. Divergent strabismus is a similar condition, in which the eyes aren't properly aligned.
