The Falkland Islands fox, also known as the warrah, is an extinct species of fox that lived on the Falkland Islands. As the only mammal native to the Falklands, the fox played an important ecological role, serving as a top predator in the island's unique ecosystem. Although the fox has no true synonyms, it is sometimes referred to as the Falkland Islands wolf due to its dog-like appearance and behavior. Other names for the species include the Falkland Islands dog, the Falkland Islands zorro, and the Falkland Islands' own fox. Despite its extinct status, the fox remains an important symbol of the Falkland Islands and its natural heritage.
