Fulbe, also known as the Fulani people, are a nomadic ethnic group spread across West Africa. They are known for their pastoralist way of life and are responsible for the production of cattle, sheep, and goats. In addition, they are known for their rich cultural heritage, including music, dance, and craftwork. Synonyms for Fulbe include Fula, Fulfulde, Peul, Fulani, and Fellata. These terms are used interchangeably depending on the region, with Fula being the most commonly used term in West Africa. As a diverse people, the Fulbe language is spoken in over 20 countries in Africa and even extends to parts of Central Africa and Sudan.
