Genus Cynocephalus, also known as the dog-headed primates, is a group of primates that are characterized by their elongated snouts and dog-like facial features. These primates are primarily found in Southeast Asia, particularly in the rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra. While there are no exact synonyms for the genus Cynocephalus, there are several other primates that share similar physical characteristics. Some of these include the babirusa, the proboscis monkey, and the tarsier. Despite sharing some similarities, each of these primates is unique and belongs to its own distinct genus.
