Genus Napaea refers to a small group of flowering plants that belong to the family Rosaceae. This genus comprises of only one species, known as Napaea dioica, commonly referred to as Glade Mallow. Despite being a singular species genus, there are various synonyms used to refer to Genus Napaea. Some of these synonyms include Apargia Aiton, Malachium Mill.,and Dwarf Rose. These synonyms may have originated due to discrepancies in taxonomic classification or differences in regional naming conventions. Regardless of the name used, Genus Napaea remains a unique member of the Rosaceae family with its characteristic pink to white flowers and herbaceous presence in woodland habitats.
