Genus Soleirolia is commonly known as Mind-your-own-business. It is a creeping perennial plant that belongs to the nettle family. The plant has a multitude of synonyms such as Baby's tears, Angels' tears, Paddy's wig, Irish moss, Mother of thousands, and Corsican creeper. Baby's tears were named because of their small, round leaves that resemble teardrops. Angels' tears were named because of the plant's delicate appearance and the belief that it brings good luck to all who possess it. Paddy's wig got its name because of its ability to grow quickly and in all directions, creating a dense, fluffy "wig." These synonyms illustrate the many different aspects and qualities of this plant.
