Genus Templetonia refers to a group of flowering plants native to Australia. These plants are also known by various other synonyms depending on the region, species and taxonomy. Some of the common synonyms include Coral Pea, Fire Bush, Bloodwood and Wait-a-while. The term "Coral Pea" is mainly used to refer to the Templetonia retusa species, which has red or pink flowers resembling coral. Similarly, the term "Fire Bush" or "Firewheel Tree" is used to refer to Templetonia capensis and Templetonia cunninghamii due to their bright red-orange flowers. The other synonyms such as Bloodwood and Wait-a-while are used for the plant's bark and prickly stems, respectively.
