Genus Trautvetteria is a type of herbaceous plant that belongs to the family Ranunculaceae. It is commonly known as false bugbane and is native to North America. The plant produces small, white, bell-shaped flowers in the summer and has serrated leaves. There are no commonly used synonyms for the genus Trautvetteria, but it is sometimes referred to as Trautvetteria caroliniensis or Trautvetteria palmata. These synonyms, however, are not widely accepted in the scientific community and are mostly used in older literature. As such, the genus Trautvetteria remains a distinct and unique taxonomic classification within the plant kingdom.
