Hesperoyucca whipplei is a species of plant commonly known as the "chaparral yucca," "our Lord's candle," or "Spanish bayonet." It is a succulent that is native to the Southwestern United States and Baja California. Hesperoyucca whipplei grows in a rosette form, with long, pointed leaves that can reach up to three feet in length. The plant has a tall flowering stalk that can reach up to 12 feet in height, producing clusters of creamy white flowers. In addition to its various common names, Hesperoyucca whipplei is also referred to as "Yucca whipplei" or simply "Whipple's yucca".
