Klumpke paralysis, also known as Klumpke palsy, is a rare condition that affects the muscles in the arm and hand. This condition is the result of a brachial plexus injury, which is a network of nerves that travel from the spinal cord to the arm and hand. As a result, the patient experiences muscle weakness, numbness, and an inability to control their arm and hand movements. While Klumpke paralysis is the commonly used term, there are other synonyms that refer to this condition. These synonyms include Klumpke's claw, claw hand, claw grip, or Klumpke's paralysis of upper limb.
