Krasue is a mythological creature in Southeast Asian folklore also known as "kasu" or "kasuwi" in some regions. It is a female spirit that appears as a floating head with organs and viscera dangling from her neck. Although there are various regional versions of the krasue legend, the creature is generally associated with malevolent behavior like consuming livestock and attacking pregnant women. While there aren't many synonyms for "krasue" in English, the Thai word "samo" is often used to refer to the krasue's head, and "krahang" is another Thai term used to describe a similar floating head ghost that can detach from its body.
