Lateral Humeral Epicondylitis is a mouthful to say and many people commonly refer to it as tennis elbow since the condition is common in tennis players. However, there are many other synonyms for the condition such as lateral epicondylalgia, tennis elbow syndrome, and lateral elbow tendinopathy. The condition is not limited to just tennis players and can affect anyone who repeatedly uses their forearm muscles. Other professions such as carpentry, plumbing, and painting can also be prone to developing lateral humeral epicondylitis. Regardless of what it's called, getting proper medical treatment and taking preventative measures can help individuals recover quicker and avoid the condition from reoccurring.
