The Lesser Bear, also known as Ursa Minor, is a well-known constellation in the northern hemisphere. While it's commonly referred to as the Lesser Bear, there are a few other terms used to describe this star grouping. One alternative name is the Little Dipper, which refers to the "dipper" shape formed by the stars. It's also sometimes called the North Star constellation, as the bright star Polaris is located at the end of the Little Dipper's handle and acts as a guiding star for navigators. Additionally, the Lesser Bear is known as the Small Bear or the Baby Bear, as it's considered the "younger" sibling of the larger constellation Ursa Major, AKA the Big Bear.
