Lichtenoid eczema, also known as lichen planus-like keratosis or lichenoid dermatitis, is a skin condition characterized by small, itchy, reddish or purplish bumps. This condition is often confused with Lichen planus, a similar skin condition that causes similar symptoms. Other synonyms for Lichtenoid eczema include Lichenoid eruptions, Lichenoid drug eruptions, Lichenoid contact dermatitis, Lichenoid pemphigoid, Lichenoid graft-versus-host disease and Lichenoid dermatosis. While the exact cause of Lichtenoid eczema is not known, it is believed to be an autoimmune disorder. Treatment options for this condition include corticosteroid creams, phototherapy, and other medications to help alleviate itching and inflammation.
