Lynx Pardina, also known as Iberian lynx or Spanish lynx, is a wild cat species native to the Iberian Peninsula. There are several synonyms used for this rare and endangered species, including Felis Pardina, Lynx Balearicus, and Lynx Hispanica. The Iberian lynx is often confused with the Eurasian lynx, but they have different physical and behavioral characteristics. While the Iberian lynx is smaller in size and usually sticks to hunting rabbits, the Eurasian lynx is a larger predator and often hunts larger mammals like deer. Despite conservation efforts, the Iberian lynx is still critically endangered, with only a few hundred individuals left in the wild.
