Lyrurus Mlokosiewiczi is a species of bird commonly known as the Caucasian grouse. There are several other synonyms for this bird such as Caucasian black grouse, black grouse, and Tetrao Mlokosiewiczi. These birds are found in the Caucasus Mountains in Eastern Europe and Western Asia. The male birds have a distinctive black plumage with a white wing patch and a lyre-shaped tail, while the females have a more mottled brown appearance. These birds are known for their elaborate courtship displays, which include calling, displaying their plumage, and fighting with other males. Despite being a popular game bird, the population of the Caucasian grouse is declining due to habitat loss and hunting.
