Mark Antony, one of the most famed political and military leaders of ancient Rome, is known by a few other names that are synonymous with his legacy. For instance, he was born as Marcus Antonius, and sometimes referred to as Marcus Antonius Creticus or even simply Antony. In literature and history texts, he is also often called the lover of Cleopatra.
