A mudroom, also known as an entryway, foyer, or vestibule, is a small room typically located near the entrance of a house where outdoor clothes and shoes can be stored. Other words that can be used to describe this type of room include a boot room, a cloakroom, a reception area, and a porch. Mudrooms can also be referred to as a transition space or a buffer zone between the outside and inside of a house. Regardless of the name, a mudroom provides a functional space for families to keep their home clean and organized.
