Mujahidin-e Khalq Organization, also known as MEK, is an Iranian political party that has undergone several transformations over the course of its existence. Over the years, it has also been referred to by many different names, including the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), the People's Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI), the National Liberation Army (NLA), and the Majahedin-e-Khalq (MKO). These names all refer to the same group, but each reflects a different aspect of their multifaceted history and evolution. Despite its controversial reputation, the MEK has played a significant role in Iranian politics and continues to advocate for democratic change in the country.
