Nekrasovite is a rare mineral consisting of beryllium sulfate and sodium. Synonyms for this mineral can include nekrazovite, nekrasovit, nekrasowite, and nekrazovit. Interestingly, nekrasovite was first discovered in 1964 in the Lovozero Massif in Russia. This mineral is often found in potassium-rich feldspar and in nepheline syenites. Therefore, it is considered to be of particular interest to researchers in geology and mineralogy. Despite its rarity, nekrasovite has unique optical properties and is an interesting addition to any mineral collection. However, due to its scarcity, nekrasovite is not frequently used in industrial applications.
