Off track betting, also known as OTB, is a type of betting where patrons can bet on horse races that are not taking place at the race track. However, there are several other synonymous terms that refer to the same concept. One such term is simulcasting, which refers to watching and betting on live races at a different location. Another term is advance deposit wagering (ADW), which allows bettors to place wagers online or over the phone before the race begins. Additionally, there is also telephone betting where bets are placed over the phone and satellite wagering where patrons can access races from various locations around the world. Despite the different names, all of these terms refer to betting on horse races outside of the race track.
