Pademelons are small wallabies native to Australia and Papua New Guinea. They are also known as thornicrofts, rufous wallabies, and red-necked wallabies. Pademelons are nocturnal and are primarily herbivorous, feeding on grasses, fruits, and young shoots. They have a stocky build, short tails, and powerful hind legs, which allow them to move quickly and efficiently through the dense vegetation of their habitat. Pademelons often live in small family groups, or mobs, and can be found in a variety of habitats, including rainforests, woodlands, and grasslands. Despite their small size, they are known for their agility, alertness, and adaptability.
