Perspective view refers to a way of showcasing an image or object, which creates an illusion of three-dimensions on a flat surface. Synonyms for this term include isometric, aerial, orthographic, and three-dimensional. Isometric view displays objects in a 3D view but without the use of a vanishing point. Aerial view presents the object or area as it might appear when viewed from a high angle and is commonly used for maps or architectural designs. Orthographic view, on the other hand, produces a 2D projection of a 3D object where the lines in the image form right angles with each other. Lastly, three-dimensional refers to any object that has three dimensions; length, width, and depth.
