Pinus Strobiformis, also known as southwestern white pine or Mexican white pine, is a type of tree commonly found in the southwestern regions of the United States and Mexico. Apart from its scientific name, the species has several other synonyms that refer to the same plant. These include Pinus ayacahuite, Pinus arizonica, Pinus chihuahuana, and Pinus strobiformis var. chihuahuana. The tree can grow up to 30 meters in height and has a distinct shape with an open crown and long needles that can reach up to 15 centimeters in length. The southwestern white pine is an important species for local wildlife and is also used for commercial purposes.
