Planck's Radiation Law, also known as Planck's Law of Black Body Radiation, refers to the physical concept that describes the intensity and distribution of electromagnetic radiation emitted by a black body at a given temperature. It is also referred to as Planck's Quantum Theory of Radiation, Planck's Formula, or Planck's Distribution Law. The law was formulated by the German physicist Max Planck in the year 1900 and is an important cornerstone in the understanding of how light interacts with matter. Additionally, the law has connections with other physical theories, including the photoelectric effect, which was discovered shortly after Planck proposed his law.
