Plexus Cervicalis is a term used to describe a network of nerves that are located in the neck area. There are several synonyms that are used to describe this network of nerves which include cervical plexus, cervical nerve plexus, and cervical nervous system. Each of the aforementioned phrases is used to describe the same set of nerves which includes the deeper and superficial cervical plexuses and branches of the spinal nerves C1-C4. This network of nerves is responsible for providing sensory and motor function to a variety of areas of the head, neck, and shoulders, making it an important aspect of the human nervous system.
