The Revillagigedo Islands are also known as the Socorro Islands. These islands are a group of four volcanic islands located in the Pacific Ocean, approximately 720 km southwest of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Another synonym used for these islands is Las Islas Marías. They have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of their unique ecosystem. The islands are uninhabited but are home to a variety of flora and fauna, including marine animals such as sharks, dolphins, and giant manta rays. The Revillagigedo Islands are also a popular destination for scuba diving and eco-tourism due to their pristine and untouched environment.
