Ringette is a lesser-known but highly captivating sport related to ice hockey. To lure more enthusiasts towards this game and make it more comprehensible, one can always use some synonyms. It can be referred to as 'ring hockey,' 'ring game,' 'ring sport,' or 'ring ball.' Other terms such as 'ring puck,' 'ring aim,' 'ring disk,' 'hoop puck,' 'hockey ring,' and 'circle skate' can also be used. The sport was invented in Canada in the late 1960s and is played with two teams of seven players each. Similar to ice hockey, the objective is to score goals by placing a rubber ring (not a puck) in the opposing team's net.
