Rupiah, also spelled as roepiah, is the official currency of Indonesia. It is known for its unique spelling and pronunciation. However, there are few synonyms for the word "roepiah" that are recognized in different countries. In Singapore, it is referred to as "rupiah"; in China and Taiwan, it is known as "lu pi ya." Similarly, in the United States and some parts of Europe, it is referred to as "Indonesian Rupiah."
